David Krejcirik's Photo Gallery:
Bosnia and Herzegovina
August 15-29, 1999
This expedition organised by the Society of Jesus of the Czech Republic
was aimed at helping to restore one small Catholic village Borovica situated
in the Muslim part of Bosnia. It had been completely destroyed during
the Muslim offensive in 1993 and since only few original inhabitants have
come back. Our group was led by Vaclav Dlapka, SJ, and Tomas Pavlu, SJ;
altogether we were nine: Pavel Baco, SJ, Pavel Lahoda (Laco), Stepan Mach,
Michal Tera, Libor Zajicek, Marek Zindulka and myself. We divided into
three groups and dug holes for electricity pylons. During the stay we
also visited such towns as Sarajevo, Mostar and Dubrovnik.
