CIRM conference on

Mathematical aspects of the physics with non-self-adjoint operators:
10 years after

Marseille, France, 23 - 27 March 2020

CANCELLED

With regret we inform the participants that the conference have been cancelled due to the ongoing outbreak of the coronavirus COVID-19 and the global travel restriction measures associated to it.

We are not taking this decision lightly and we have arrived at it after considering the following elements:

  1. Travel restrictions on professional missions imposed by universities and institutions associated to the majority of participants.

  2. Travel restrictions, cancellations of trips and quarantines imposed by governments from various countries.
  1. The latest decision of CIRM to distribute participants of the same event in different rooms, in order not to exceed the critical mass of allowed participants.

  2. Lack of communications from CIRM to us about current developments and decisions.
The conference has been re-scheduled for new dates:
7 - 11 December 2020
20 April 2020 David, Lyonell and Petr

The conference is supported by:

CIRM
Centre International de Rencontres Mathématiques

IAMP
International Association of Mathematical Physics

AHP
Annales Henri Poincaré

Studying non-self-adjoint operators is like being a vet rather than a doctor: one has to acquire a much wider range of knowledge, and to accept that one cannot expect to have as high a rate of success when confronted with particular cases.

A quotation from the preface to the 2007 book Linear operators and their spectra by E. B. Davies
