This conference is intended as a follow-up of meetings on the same topic
held in Europe and USA in the past ten years:

|
|
|
ESF Exploratory Workshop Prague, Czech Republic 2010
|
ICMS Workshop Edinburgh, United Kingdom 2013
|
AIM Workshop San Jose, California 2015
|
CIRM Conference Marseille, France 2017
|
The year 2020 will be a jubilee occasion for the series,
which has grown considerably since the first meeting.
The primary motivation for the meetings was driven by the existing
lack of synergy between mathematicians and mathematical physicists
interested in theoretical aspects of the newly developing
fields of modern physical phenomena described by non-self-adjoint operators
(non-Hermitian quantum mechanics, metamaterials,
repeated interaction quantum systems, superconductivity, etc.).
The series has been successful in gathering scientists
from different communities
who would not ordinarily interact in the same conference.
In the forthcoming event we intend to continue with this purpose and,
as in past events,
we wish to bring together world class specialists
in Mathematical Physics, Microlocal and Semiclassical Analysis,
Dynamical Systems, Harmonic Analysis, Evolution PDEs and Stochastic Processes.
We plan to have invited as well as contributed talks. The final schedule
will be prepared at a later stage; the contributed talks will be selected
by the organisers and scientific committee.
